Here it goes....

As soon as that car got into the garage.... those minds of them boys start ticking. With Tony and his Dad in the garage, they start looking the body over and listing off things that have to be done. First thing on the list is the body. They removed the hood first. Then they started to sand the driver side down.

Bringing it home

After pricing out different transportation companies, he had the idea of borrowing his dad's truck and renting a trailer bed and deciding to go pick up the car in Minnesota. He was able to get his brother Dan, cousins Larry and Dave to go with him also. They left Jackson on Friday night and drove straight thru and arriving in Minnesota on Saturday afternoon. Loaded up the car and drove straight thru all the way home. Today's pictures will include of when they picked the car up and loaded it, and unloading it here in Jackson. Lukas is now learning that this is "Daddy's new car", in fact whenever he sees any picture of the General Lee, he refers to it as "Daddy's new car". Its so frickin cute how he says it!

The New Addition to our Family

So you think just by the title that we just came home with a baby. Well sort of... My husband's new baby. Meet Rusty Lee. This will combine his all time dream of restoring an old muscle car, and living the Dukes dream. The Dukes of Hazard that is. After 6 long months of searching the internet, car magazines and flyer, and eBay, He finally met his match. Drove to Minneosta to pick up this winning auction with his brother Daniel and cousins Dave and Larry. While it has nothing under the hood and rust and holes and wires and lots of work forseen, it is still the baby that Anthony has always dreamed of.

You are about to embark on the journey with us of restoring this rusty 1969 Dodge Charger into the beautiful General Lee. For now meet our new baby, we'll call him Rusty.

Here are your first preview of pics that were on the auction.
