And we're in.... side

My son Luke joined us for about 10 minutes. He insisted he wasn't cold, but I told him to put his hands in his pockets just in case. He got down and jumped his monster trucks before great grandma came and got him. He liked watching the cutting and sparks, even though in the pic he doesn't look like he wanted to be there.
Running out of things to do on the outside of the car has now directed us to the inside floor pans. They really need a cleaning. (Yes we are still avoiding that side window repair... It'll happen.. We hope :) First thing, map out were the floor support rails and frame is located and then get that cancer out!!! We cut away the metal that needed to go. Took the air hose and blew out the junk that filled the frame. The frame were solid on the driver's side thank goodness and didn't require any additional work. After a little sandblasting action all around, we undercoated that side and painted it black.

The passenger side only needed the front section replaced. We were going to leave it at that but decided last moment to cut over the frame rails to make sure nothing found its way in there like the driver's side. It turned out to be a smart decision because the passenger side was filled with more junk than the exposed driver's side. There was a small hole that needed attention, but was repaired nicely and quickly. I gave this side more sandblasting attention, filled the rails with undercoat, painted it black and called it a day.
